Overview
Coin is an expense tracker for people who want to know where their money went without learning a budgeting system. It shows your balance, recent transactions and spending trends at a glance.
The problem
Most budgeting apps ask you to set up categories, accounts and rules before they show you anything. I wanted an app that’s useful from the first transaction and stays simple after that.
What I did
- Designed the app, from onboarding to the home dashboard.
- Built phone sign-up with code verification and a short onboarding flow.
- Built a dashboard with a budget balance, spending stats and a transaction list.
- Styled the app with Tailwind CSS through NativeWind.
Status & next steps
Onboarding, sign-up and the dashboard are built against mock data. Next is local storage for transactions, adding expenses in a couple of taps, and monthly summaries.
